June 21, 2023 – Guidry’s Guardian Foundation is pleased to share that they will be providing financial assistance for rescue centers and shelters that offer services to assist animals in need. Alanna Rizzo, the founder of the foundation, realized that hundreds and thousands of animals out there need rescuing. A lot of them do not even make it to the shelter homes or rescue centers. There are a lucky few who get adopted, and the rest of them are still waiting to be adopted. 

And not to forget that almost all these rescue centers and non-profit organizations are often overcrowded. They do not even have enough funds to provide basic care for the pets in need. Guidry’s Guardian Foundation was started with the aim to help support such organizations that assist animals in need. All donations the foundation receives go toward adoption and foster fees, supplies and medical costs, spay and neuter services, mental and physical rehabilitation of animals, training, and getting them off the streets and high-kill shelters. The funds will additionally be allocated towards providing financial support to individuals and organizations that promote fostering and adoption as alternatives to purchasing animals from pet stores and breeders.

Fortunately, quite a few unsung heroes dedicate their lives to pets and animal welfare. But they are often limited in their endeavors due to insufficient funds. Guidry’s Guardian Foundation aims at helping such individuals find a financial source and do their part to save a dog’s life. The foundation uses various platforms such as televisions, radios, the internet, and social media to grow its network of adopters and fosters. It also raises awareness for animals that need a happy family or a foster home that will give the animals care, attention, and love that will help them regain confidence. 

Anyone can save a dog’s life by simply joining fellow supporters and dog lovers and becoming a member of the foundation. Alternatively, they can adopt or foster a dog and give them a forever home. Once they join the team, they will be informed when the network finds a match in the area, in case they want to adopt. The foundation also organizes fundraising events from time to time. Those who wish to donate can also contribute any amount. Every dollar that goes into the foundation will be spent on the well-being of the animals. About Guidry’s Guardian Foundation 

Guidry’s Guardian Foundation was founded by Alanna Rizzo. It was named after her adopted dog, Guidry, who was adopted in February 2009 from the Humane Society of Boulder Valley in Boulder, CO. By going through the process of adoption, Alanna came to the realization that numerous animals were in dire need of rescue within overpopulated rescue centers and shelters. Hence, the foundation was born to help raise funds to support these organizations.
